Lightening Storm
This is some great video I captured during a lightening storm earlier this summer. Very different from Washington storms.

what we've been up to
The boys all recently started playing football with a home-school league. Aside from the usual scrapes and bruises, I think they are really enjoying themselves. And recently, they had a surprise visit at practice...Rod Hood of the Tennessee Titans! Kelcey graduates on June 4.....wow, can't believe that! Her and Garrett are both learning to drive quite well (that one kind of snuck up on me too). They are all doing very well in their studies, and are a HUGE help to Cailey with various things at church. Cailey and I recently had the privilege of seeing the Gulf Coast in FL when her brother, Justin, graduated from Southeastern University in Lakeland. We also got to visit family for a week...that was fun. Then, we got word that a close friend of ours in Walla Walla had passed suddenly. Through a number of mir
acles, I was able to fly to WA for the service. While there, I took advantage and visited with immediate family in WA. Our summer will be busy....Kids Camp in June...VBS in July...and hopefully a week or two to breath in August (with the a/c running). In September I will have the privilege of speaking at our Men's Retreat. And despite what she would probably say, Cailey is doing an amazing job with the kids at the church! I am so proud of her.Until next time.......

Birthday Week

Ok, so I thought that turning 40 would be a little difficult....but I actually had a harder time turning 30. This was a piece of cake...despite receiving depends, suppository laxatives, Bengay cream, and a REAL cane! The difficult thing this week was watching our 1st born turn 18! Where has the time gone?
Above is a pic that Connor made for me, and a pic of Kelcey's B-Day cake after taking her to chinese for lunch today.
Thanks for all the great birthday wishes and cards. We had a really nice week!

The Cabin House
Today, we drove out to see a house in the country that just became available to rent. It looked perfect for our family. There is a small lake for fishing, and a huge back yard. Then, we drove out there a second time to see the inside with the owner. We didn't know there was another family that was also going to be looking at it, but the owner had told us that we could have it if we wanted it. In two very different ways, however, God clearly told both Cailey and I that we were to allow this other family to have it...so we did. So we quietly drove away from what seemed to be the perfect home for us. God's plans must include something else right now.
